Anticorrosive Marine Epoxy
A two-pack, self-priming, surface-tolerant epoxy with a low semi-gloss finish and excellent chemical and abrasion resistance.
Universal anticorrosive for underwater hulls, above-water and internal areas of marine vessels, barges and offshore structures. Steel substrates: SSPC-SP10 recommended, SSPC-SP6 acceptable in many areas. Previously painted surfaces: SSPC-SP3/SP11 or SP6 on bare areas. Volume solids 80% ±3%. VOC 194 g/L (1.62 lb/gal) as supplied. Apply by airless or conventional spray at 6.3 mils wet for 5 mils dry. Brush and roller are for stripe coating and small areas only. Can be topcoated with Interthane 990. When overcoating with antifouling, apply the first antifouling coat while the Intergard 264 is still slightly tacky.
Kit contents: Part A (Light Grey base, FPJ034) + Part B curing agent (FPA327). Mix ratio 4:1 by volume. The kit is pre-measured, so you combine the entire contents of Part B with Part A and no measuring is required. Allow a 15-minute induction period below 70°F.
Coverage: 257 sq ft per gallon of mixed material at 5 mils dry (theoretical). Allow for application losses.
Cure at 77°F: pot life 4 hrs · touch dry 4 hrs · hard dry 8 hrs · recoat with itself 10 hrs min / 8 wks max · Interthane 990 topcoat 10 hrs min / 7 days max. Cure is slower in cooler conditions: at 50°F, pot life is 8 hrs and hard dry is 24 hrs. Apply only when air and surface temperatures are above 50°F.
